About this deal

I would get the Boomerang as a runner for all the reasons Mad Racer says. He loves his Boomerang and as I also own one with a brushless motor. The kit comes with both a 13 tooth and a 15 tooth aluminum pinion gear, but the model supports optional 16 or 17 tooth gears for even higher speed. I used the 15 tooth gear. This chassis uses an interesting method of adjusting the gear mesh. There are a set of 4 plates or shims which can be seen in the right hand image on either side of the long screw which supports the motor. The 15 tooth gear is spaced by using 2 on either side of the screw. Other pinion sizes set the mesh by putting the plates in different positions. The Hotshot and the Super Hotshot are nearly the same build, so I'm only including details on the differences here. Please see my So get the re release Boomerang first and get the re release Hotshot at a later stage as the Hotshot should be around for a while. They are almost identical in terms of build, they're almost the same chassis. The Hot Shot has rather cool rear suspension linkages, funky collars for setting the springs and you have the roll cage and netting to assemble which is really cool, but the Boomerang has a better steering setup assembly and twin rear dampers. The Hotshot looks much cooler, but the Boomerang is a better runner out of the box with better dampers/springs and better steering (the Hotshot has bump steer).

Shaft-driven 4WD GB-03 chassis is compact and features a rear-mounted motor that transfers power through a slipper clutch, pinion-type diff, and propeller shaft. It’s safe to say that the guy I met was one of those people who just ‘hoard stuff’ since he had an entire house filled with junk, complimented nicely by an entire front yard filled with junk! I really wasn’t sure if he’d be interested in my guitars (or where he’d put them), but to my surprise he took them and (with a bit of cash thrown in) gave me a fairly old, beaten, but relatively complete Tamiya Hotshot. From there, I could get a more accurate location for one of the holes, and draw around it with a sharpie. Looking at it all those years ago as a boy, the Hotshot seemed almost impossibly complicated. Rugged, incredibly cool, with that huge 4WD logo emblazed across the rear wing. It was almost bio-mechanical in the sense that it met the eye with both smooth and rough edges – elegance and practicality combined. It was both beautiful, and clearly ready to blast across any terrain. Pulling your chain fella, your oprinion is for the hotshot, mine swings the other way to boomerang, having had both as vintage buggies and as re-re's i still prefer the boomerang as its a better runner and (in my mind) not as fragile and has much easier access to everything you need. Now we'll start work on the rear suspension. The lower arms are wishbone style and the upright hubs are molded in bright red. In the right hand image you can see that the upper arm is much shorter than the lower which will result in camber change as the suspension compresses.

The radio gear is encased inside the chassis, in a fully sealed cavity, which is a pain if you need to perform maintenance on it as it means undoing 6 or so screws to open up the chassis. But that’s just a hoop you have to jump through, when running this particular classic R/C buggy. The Tamiya Hotshot 2007 from our great range of radio controlled buggies, has been awaiting re-release from the nostalgic Tamiya radio control range for some time. The eye-catching Hotshot 4WD radio control buggy, which was originally released in the 1980's and helped popularize the R/C car hobby. The Tamiya Hotshot has a timeless body shape matched with updated improvements to let both old and new R/C car fans enjoy exciting off-road action. this time that you wish to cancel. You are required to take good care of the goods and return them to us at your own The new roll-bar is positioned higher to ensure a raised pilot position for greater realism. To achieve this, the upper frame is also updated. Tire Width/Diameter: (Front/Rear) 26/64mm ●Frame: Reinforced monocoque ●Drivetrain: Shaft-driven 4WD ●Diff Gear: (Front/Rear) Pinion-typeTreated with respect, I firmly believe that any Tamiya will last for many years of play. But I’ll just mention a few common traits beyond simply saying “it’s awesome”: A wide array of Option Parts were produced especially for modifying the Hotshot, and the machine became something that every youth at that time dreamed of.
