And Abbie and Ryan are ready to jump. Their intention to get married in six weeks reeks of suspicion. Abbie says they’re rushing because she wants to make sure her grandmother can attend. Ed’s mother-in-law has received a terminal diagnosis, and Abbie is close to her Nana Joyce. Apparently Ryan suggested it would be better to have the wedding sooner rather than later, and Claire and Joyce are both touched by the gesture. Not only did he not pay the private investigator; he also forwarded the report exposing him as a liar and criminal to his and Abbie's house. He had no financial issues. He could've settled the bill or bought a P.O. box.

That was so laughably bad and ridiculous it was hilarious. Moral of the story? Don't go anywhere without a Thermos. Ed wasn't expecting to find out that his daughter Abbies boyfriend is in fact her fiance once he finally meets Ryan for the first. The Catch delivers the best kind of suspense thriller entertainment as Logan plays with our perceptions and tugs on our inner fears in this unsettling, twisting, turning journey through the fraught and complex landscape of our principal narrator Ed's troubled mind * NW Newspapers Syndication * If you’ve yet to read T.M. Logan’s The Catch book then you might well be a little surprised by the changes that have reportedly been made to the Collier family and their home in the gripping Channel 5 show. In the Channel 5 drama which starts on January 25, as per RadioTimes.com, the setting is now the coast of the South West of England where Ed is a fisherman.Tim was born in Berkshire and studied in London and Cardiff before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children, and writes in a cabin at the bottom of his garden. T.M. Logan always manages to come up with the basics of a realistic scenario, that then spins entirely out of control. The Catch is no different. A father who doesn’t approve of his daughter’s choice of partner isn’t that hard to imagine. In Ed’s case, it’s not just the close bond between Abbey and himself that is causing this overprotectiveness. There is more to it than that, but that’s something you’ll have to discover for yourself.
Ed, though, gets the strong impression that Ryan isn’t being honest. He’s saying all the right words and behaving in all the right ways, but Ed’s first meeting with Ryan is enough to tell him that this man doesn’t truly love Abbie. Not in the way she deserves, and not in the way any man should love a woman.

I’ve read several books by this author but this was the first time I tried the audio version and the narrator did a fabulous job. Even though I think multiple narrators would have given it a just a bit more flash. But that’s just me!💁🏻♀️
